Countdown - 1 day - Tillson Street 2013

Tillson St in Romeo MI was also in 2011's countdown (twice) and in 2012!   What can I say?  It's a cool place to visit!  We went last night with my sisters & my rent-a-kid (Miss Angela's BFF) but the only pics I got were of the 2 goofballs.  It was a nice night, tolerable crowds & fairly temperate.

HERE is an article from the Detroit news, A good read!

I went back this afternoon and took the dog with me this time.  I walked the length of Tillson Street, and also Pleasant Street over one block.  I'd say all but 2 houses on Tillson St were done up and close to half on Pleasant.

I like the chicken wire ghosts!

 Floating Woodstock is pretty funny.

 These scarecrows are crazy tall.

The Masquerade Ball is always pretty cool.
People were out on ladders, tweaking the displays.

Boards & webs.  Simple, yet effective.

 "handburgers"

I want to know where they found this 4 foot skeleton!!

 LOL

 Both altars are cool.

 Clowns.    Ew.   No.
Just no.

You get a good look at their fogger here.

The wheelchair rolled back & forth.

Hmm, I'd have to wager that this family are State fans?

This place has cannons that fire at random.

It's hard to see the football-playing skeletons here.

Throwing the ball.

The ball

Catching the pass!

 Tailgating.

The Bulldogs are the Romeo High School Football team.

Stones for the other schools the Bulldogs have beat.

 Why is Tigger there???

This one is new this year.

 Ginormous punkins!

This house was empty & for sale last year.
Glad to see the new owners fit right in!

Now over to Pleasant Street!

These trees have eyes & they dance.

The JOLs on their porch were floating!

I wonder what they are doing with this.
It's between the sidewalk & road.

OK, this is creepy.  Each of these million dolls have a plastic knife!
And there are naked Barbies on the porch & in the bush!

 Like the bats!

I took this because it was pretty with the fall window box & the scrollwork at the peak.

 This house was for sale!

 Inspiration!

 Corner lot for sale!

 LOVE this house!

Another house for sale - directly across the street from the last one.
1870 historical marker on it.

There seems to be a bit of an infestation here.
May need a shotgun or something.

I was glad it was nice so I could go see the houses during the day.  One of my lovely co-workers was sick when we went out last weekend and apparently gave her cooties to me.  I don't know about her, but my crap has all settled in my throat.  At least it doesn't feel fuzzy anymore and I can breathe!  Earlier was tough.

O.M.G.  Tomorrow is the big day.  Let's see if the National Weather Service has any good news for us....

  1. Looks like rain for our haunt too. Going minimal with props and makeup and hope for the best. Your pictures are just incredible! How I would love to live in a place that participated like this!
