Today's Cemetery Tuesday visit is to Van Hoosen Jones Cemetery in Rochester Hills, Michigan. It's a fairly new cemetery, the land was donated to the city in 1956 by Dr. Sarah Van Hoosen Jones. The 2 things that really stood out to me as I browsed the rolling acreage was the vast number of young people buried that and also the variety of unusual fonts on the stones.
I love some of those headstones! (And some of those names!).
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful - and I wonder how people actually went thru life with some of those names!
