#CountdownToHalloween2025 - UGHHHHH!

Just random thoughts.

WHERE DID OCTOBER GO??????

I haven't been to Tillson St. yet.  We'll probably go Sunday after breakfast.  It's insane going there at night this close to H'ween so daytime is better.  I used to go alone, taking the dog and walking up & down the street, now we take the grandkids.

We also need to check out the Clinton Twp Neighbor-Haunt crawl.
We don't usually go to all of the houses, but there are a select few that we make a point to visit.

We've gone by a few that I found on the Fright Map in our local area and I've been amazed at how many don't have lights on after dark!!  Use timers, people!   You're spending all this $ on big props & such, show them off!
Speaking of lights.... my house needs....something.
There's actually an orange spotlight on the right, shining down on the coffin in front of the house....but the blue floodlights drown it out!

I probably have to relocate that orange spot and I also have another that I'm thinking of aiming at the horses that are between the house & the shack (in red).  Maybe a green spot on the front door?  idk.
Clearly I didn't put enough paint on the newest headstone to seal the top edge....
and we (finally) got some rain - like a nice soaking 1 3/4 inches over a couple days
I'm hoping I can get it fixed before Halloween!
Out of all the headstones I have - this is the only one that has lost in weather vs plywood.

I also have to do a lot of rearranging.  The horses need to be moved forward.  A lot of the headstones need to have their rebar tapped in further, since the ground was so hard when they were first installed, now they're leaning because the ground is soft.

Some of the smaller critters need to be moved around in their little "vignettes".

There are 2 blowmolds that still aren't plugged in.

There's a couple skeletons just sitting in the shack on the ground.  They need to be moved to put the spool in there.  I should have grabbed the small chairs the neighbors had out by the curb.

Ugh, Friday night is the trunk or treat at the granddaughter's daycare.  No idea how I'm going to decorate the car!   There's one at the VFW on Sunday, too.  I don't think I'm going to that one this year.

Saturday, however..... after I spend most of the day in a class for my search & rescue team, we'll be going straight over with the team trailer for the "Top Lights" truck or treat with all the first responders.  It's just a super cool event.  Imagine trunk or treat, but with police cars, state troopers, fire trucks of all sizes, ambulances, DNR trucks, animal control, victim services, conservation officers and of course, SAR!

(I was stopped at a light here, you can even see my speedometer!)
The tree has been my favorite work decoration for a long time, now the posing JOL snowman joins in (and I managed to already kill the air plant that was in his head)

Oh, I'm sure there are plenty of other things rattling around in my head.
